IEntry · Variations on a Vanishing Body
Body horror composition: visceral, textural, unsettling string mutations and organic microtonal tension.
The longest piece on the reel after the ambient works, and the most structural: a short theme is put through six mutations, each one pulling the ensemble further from equal temperament. By the end the theme is still recognisable but the tuning has gone, which is the argument of the piece.
Written for transformation sequences — anything where a body is being described as material rather than as a person.
